I am a Bodyshop fanatic. In fact it was this brand, that made me dive deeper into the world of skincare. As a curious 17 year old, I bought my first few products from Bodyshop and the rest was history. I became a convert, skincare became a priority to me. However, skincare is not exclusive to the face and for someone who is constantly exposed to the elements- the skin on my body deserves the extra love too.

I picked up the Hawaiian Kukui cream from the body shop awhile back and have been consistently using it for about 2 months. (SGD56 for a 350ml tub, I am a member of the love your body club, so I had 15% off). This body cream is from their “Spa of the World” range (Blissful Ritual Collection).

{ I personally have bought over 80% of their products from this particular range; the body-scrubs, oils etc. After trying and testing most of their products from this range, I have concluded that the Blissful Ritual Collection is my favourite. }

Product claims from their website;

And I have to say their claims are all true. I love this product. It is a rich moisturiser which I apply 2-3x a week all over my body. Immediately after application, my skin feels nourished and visibly looks much healthier. For someone who is constantly in the sun, my skin loves the heavy nourishment that this heavy cream provides, and (bonus!) the scent is so heavenly it whisks you away to paradise.

Consistency of the Hawaiian Kukui Cream

There is a little bit of oily-ish residue, hence I would not recommend this as a day cream unless you have the time to sit in your towel and let your skin absorb the product completely before leaving the house.

The Hawaiian Kukui Cream does have a hefty price tag but is well worth it. One tub lasts a long time, and this is not a cream that you need to put on everyday. Once every 2-3 or 3-4 days is enough for me. This cream is exactly what I need to replenish and nourish my skin after a long day in the sun.

I recommend this cream for anyone who does water-sports, is outdoor frequently or just has very dry skin. This product could be your skin’s saviour!

Anyway babes, the heat in Singapore is ridiculous so remember to take extra care of your body! Singapore’s dry spell looks like it’s only going to get worse in the next few months so, slap on some sunscreen and drink loads of water.

Till next time,

If you are a looking for a day cream, I would recommend the Japanese Camellia Cream instead. I’ve used it before and think that is better suited for daytime use. The consistency is more like a whipped cream, a lot more lighter and has a velvet feel to it. It makes your skin feel hydrated without any residue.
