Picture this: you're scrolling through social media and saw a cool brand that sells skincare/makeup/merchandise (whatever you're into) at a cheap price? Cheaper than what you'd find in Singapore anyways. Or that limited edition product no longer sells locally but is still available on the US website. You take out your card ready to buy that one product you've been eyeing and scouring the internet... only to realise that they don't ship to Singapore at all. OH THE HORROR!
Not to worry- AORA global is here!
AORA global is an agent website, that ships your products from the US to Singapore.
Recently I have been eyeing this becca bronzer from Becca cosmetics. So what do I do? I head over to Sephora because I know they carry Becca Cosmetics in their range. To my disappointment, it's not sold in Singapore or it's just sold out island-wide. I am heartbroken. I was willing to spend SGD60 just for a sparkly limited edition bronzer but I didn't give up. I was on google, ebay, amazon every website searching for that bronzer. Until I found it, on the official US page on sale! (Instead of SGD60, it's SGD32.) Excited I head to check out, only to realise they do not offer international shipping :(!
I was just about to give up, until I stumbled upon aoraglobal on Instagram. An agent company, that ships US products to Singapore and they were having a promo for their first 1000 customers! As a small start-up and brand myself, I wanted to support other start-ups and brands. I did my research by insta-stalking them and ordered not 1 but 2 bronzers for SGD69.40 including shipping. If I had bought it from the local Sephora, it would have costed me close to $120. So this was definitely a steal.

To add icing on top, their marketing director emailed me personally to thank me for supporting auro and asked if there was anything I would like to see them improve on. It's the little things that matter and it did. Long story short, I told them it would be better if I could order more products together collectively because based on their website layout I was under the assumption I can only order one product at a time. To which they replied, I could actually order multiple products but they could understand that it could have been communicated better on the website and hence they added a little "add more to cart" when checking out. And as a thank you, they even gave me a promo code to share around!
!!! Enter the promocode "TOUSLEDGOLD" at checkout to enjoy 1.2kg off international shipping!!!
and if you happen to use the promocode, let me know in the comments on my instagram post :) I would love to know what you bought from the US x
**The promocode is vaild till the end of 2019.
Anyways here are the bronzers I got and I got 3 freebies from this order! It made me realise how stingy sephora can be with their freebies. I got a mini gloss, shimmering skin perfector sheet and a sample of their firstlight and backlight primers just for purchasing 2 bronzers, that were already on sale. If that doesn't give you a reason to shop directly from the company- I don't know what will.

So what should you buy from AORA?
To get the best deals apart from their supported merchants(below), I'd suggest makeup, plushies, skincare from indie brands would be more value for money. I wouldn't buy anything too heavy like shoes or clothes unless you really want them. Why?
I personally feel AORA global should be used to buy small, light but expensive things such as makeup and skincare because you get your money's worth especially if you use my promocode and your items are less than 1.2kg, you only have to pay for your products and a 5% agent fee.

PS, I did a mini comparison.
In Singapore, if you buy a fenty primer (SGD48),foundation(SGD52) and their sponge(SGD26) from Sephora it adds up to SGD 126. However on fenty's official website, the bundle set costs USD 64. (about 88 SGD excluding shipping). Let's say the package in total would be 2.5kg (an estimate, actual weight may vary depending), economy shipping is $37.25. But since you get 1.2kg off, shipping would cost $19.40. In total it adds up to $113.40 (including shipping with discounted promocode and 5% agent fee.) Which means you've saved $12.60! And let's say if your products are less than 1.2kg? With my promocode, you dont have to pay for shipping at all. You simply have to pay for agent fee.
Some additional information, from their website.

Before you go! If skincare and (light) makeup is your thing, be sure to give my instagram page a follow. It would mean the world to me!
Till next time,
